The iMac 27" has arrived. iMovie is already installed, so without further ado, I imported and edited my very first ever video. I have a lot to learn - including pan + zoom combos. Eesh!!

Some of the transitions from panning x-axis to zooming out and panning diagonally really sucked. I'll do the rest and put them in order so I can see the progression from first video shot to final. I was sitting above "corner 1", which means the riders were constantly either riding towards or away from me diagonally, which meant pans had to do x+y, and to be honest the Vision Blue felt "sticky" when trying to do this. I had tension (??) off completely and yet there seemed to be quite a bit of drag still. I am a complete newbie when it comes to video panning, though, so I'll continue to investigate technique and see what I can come up with.

Keep in mind, the rider in orange is doing ~50km/hr (31mph).
