poor video quality

i have export from premiere cs 5.5 1920x1980 mp4 file and convert to m2v for sd dvd pal 720x576 with procoder but the quallity is very poor.
All my videos capture it with sony nex5e in 1080p/25 FX mode,any help?
I use encore for dvd.

Try posting this in the Adobe CS section - Assuming by the fact that you did not mention that the footage was of poor quality on the timeline, this is more than likely not an issue with capture.

You will get better quality using TMPGenc and 2 pass VBR if the program is longer than 1 hour. You need to use Lanczos3 for the re scaling algorithm. I do not think Procoder uses this. TmpgEnc Video Mastering Works 5 Tutorial for downscaling EDIUS HD to SD might explain for you. You would need to use your mp4 rather than the Edius HQ file. TMPGenc will work with lots of different file inputs.
