4K and crop
Alister,
I read your post on your XDCAM-USER.COM website with the assumption that (maybe) the FS700 can be used with 2/3 inch lenses or the possibility to crop it in post. For wildlife fimmaking all the new developments towards the larger sensors are not necessarilly an improvement for me. The crop I have on my EX3 is very helpful. Please keep us updated once you know more about this issue, it could make the FS700 a wonderful tool for wildlife filming. Cees |

Re: 4K and crop
Even if the camera does not have a built in crop function, you would be able to use a 2/3" lens with a 2x extender via a simple lens mount adapter (no optics). Most lenses, with the extender, would then cover about 3/4 of the sensor. You would then shoot 4k RAW and in post extract an HD centre crop from the 4K image.

Re: 4K and crop
This whole concept of using eng lens with the FS 700 is very exciting. Alister ... I guess you'll be one of the first to test this out?
