We don't know that for sure yet. Sony won't discuss how the recording option will work. I do know that they have been discussing Some options with 3rd party recorder vendors. Perhaps Sony will use Their new XQD cards, maybe SxS or maybe SRMemory, which incidentally works out cheaper at 4k than SxS was per minute with xdcam when it was launched.
Right now I wouldn't by a FS700 just for future 4k but I am buying one for it's slow mo capabilities. |
