Mic input on CX900 at DVinfo.net

If anyone can help me out here I would be very grateful, The CX900 Microphone input is stated as a powered input so I guess it works as a sort of Phantom power to a external Microphone. Can I use a Sennheiser ew112 system on the Camcorder without it damaging the receiver? A quick response would be very helpful, anyone.

I don't think it provides full phantom power. It may provide "plugin" power, but that just means that it provides the small amount of power needed to directly power the lav from a Sennheiser G2/3 system.

But, plugging in the receiver unit of a G2/3 should be fine.

But, I don't have the camera so I can't absolutely guarantee this.
