sound track gone after capturing
Hello there
Here is my problem that I recently ran into: When I record with 2 mics, the sound on the 2 tracks is perfect when I play the tape on the deck. When I capture the footage in Premiere 6.5 and drag the piece from the Project window into the Timeline window, ONLY TRACK 1 CAN BE HEARD (i.e mic #1). The second mic/track is not there at all. Remember that on the tape played on the deck both tracks/mics sound perfect. The settings on PDX-10 are Mic 1 on track 1, Mic 2 on track 2. The mics work fine, I can hear both in the headphones. I used MiniDV tapes, shot in DV mode. Any suggestion? Have a great weekend, Raul

Have you tried capturing (transfering really) your footage with any other programs? I have read of some people having problems with DV audio and Premiere. You might want to try a little program called WinDV. It is at http://windv.mourek.cz/ and works great (and it is free). I havn't had any problems using it with my PDX10. I have however found that some programs like DV type 1 and some like DV type 2. Can you change that when you transfer your DV footage? Just a thought. Good Luck

Thank you Jim, thank you Boyd. Problem fixed, a different software does the job instead of Premiere.
Thanks again. Raul
