Lens "cap" for the large sun shade?
I want to leave the large shade on all the time. What is everyone else using for a lens cap for these hoods?

I had a Sony TRV30 video camera, killed it, but found that its smaller lens cap fits in the large hood. That's what I am using.

That's what I use as well: the original lens cap inside the hood.

Frank, what I mean is that I don't need to remove the hood to use it, this cap is a little samaller and clips neatly in the hood while fitted to the camera, easy to remove without taking the hood off.

That's what I meant as well. All my caps fit onto the filter with the hood on the cam.

On the PDX10 I can't get the smaller cap to work in the larger lens shade. We have 2 for the PDX10. The standard one is nice but the larger one is better, even in everyday use.
The larger lens shade for the PDX10 has nothing for the lens cap to grab. In fact, in the larger shade, as it is bayonet mounted (thanks Sony) there are no threads at all. I can't even put a UV filter on it as the hole is meant to allow adding accesory lenses to the actual lens itself and not the hood. Know what I am saying here. It's a bit hard to explain, and an odd setup too. Sean
