VX2000 Progressive Look - Trick

Hello,

I dont know if this has been posted or not. I have shot a video clip couple years back and did this to achieve a progressive feel:

DIGITAL EFFECTS - FLASH EFFECT - Lower the bar t zero then increase the value one stop (or two depending on your feel)

There is no way to lock this but some gaffer tape over the wheel will help other wise stay away from the menu wheel while shooting.

Also found this; if you do shoot interlaced and want to capture using this FLASH effect or another, the video with the applied effect will not be sent through firewire but only though analogue (S video and composite ) outputs.

That's all. The result is pretty amazing, just import and edit as you do.

Hope this helps..

Regards,

Kaya

Whipped out the camera just to try that, it's definitely better then the "Progressive" option in the menu's. Have to shoot some footage with it and see how it looks.

Good Tip
