Pd-150 Tv Capture Problems!

Hello all,

thanks for your help in advance,

i have a sony PD-150 that has stopped being able to take stuff off of TV through the ports on the side, is this a common problem? it has worked before but now the screen just comes up blue

This is not a common problem. Make sure your camera is in VCR mode, that the cables are OK, and that you are connecting to the video and audio OUT on the TV.

I don't have my camera here, but there's a menu setting which affects this as well, I think it's called "AV-INPUT" or something like that. This must be correctly set or else the ports will be used as outputs instead of inputs.

Also, you can't input copy protected material like commercial DVD's and VHS tapes. You will get an error message saying "copy inhibit" or something to that effect.

nice one will look out for that feature in the menu - doesnt mention it in the PD150 manual

Pages 81 & 82 in the manual. Have to select LCD in the menu.
