About Portabrace bag
Hi all,I need an advice.I use 170 with wide angle adaptor,in the Portabrace website there are two model for the camera in the CS-DV series:CS-DV3/CR3 and CS-DV4/CR4M,so what's the best choice for a 170 with WA?
Thanks in advance,Maurizio. |

dont worry abouot it. i have one, and its for the vx2000. a pd150 fits in there. theyre pretty flexable, all it is is a big lbue bag with a small black insert, its not actually formed for the camera.

I use this one:
http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/controller/home?O=productlist&A=details&Q=&sku=203319&is=REG MY 170 fits just fine in it, if a tad snugly. There is a place on the floor for the WA (I don't need/use the WA; I keep my headphones in this space).

I'm thinking of getting a Porta Brace DV Organizer. It looks like it could hold all kind of stuff.

Like you, I was struggling with which PortaBrace case to go with. In the end, I went with the CS-DV4/CR4M - and I'm glad I did. I personally think that the CS-DV4 is a better bag. It's a little larger than the CS-DV3, plus has a zippered exterior pocket (the CS-DV1-3 use a velco flap). In my opinion, you can never have enough room for cables/mics/tapes etc. I love the padded pouches too - I can easily fit the Wide Adapter and sun shade in one of the bags, and I use the other for various pieces of kit. Even though there's a little more "wiggle" room at the lens end of the carrier - the PD-170 fits snugly on the other 3 sides. Plus, if you ever get a Matte box for your rig - the camera will fit perfectly in the carrier with the matte box attached. -Bob |

Portabrace will sell direct but if you get the model number B&H can and will order it. They sell a lot of stuff that doesn't show online.
