Is the VX2000's black setup at 0 or 7.5 IRE?

I need to know what the black setup level of my VX2000 is. I know that DV is supposed to define black as 0 IRE. I also know that the PD150/170 have a switch to adjust the black level. I talked to a tech at Sony who told me that the VX2000's setup is 0 IRE, and that the switch on the PD150 only adjusts the video signal as it leaves the camera. Experiments by others, though, indicate that the switch on the PD150 actually adjusts the signal recorded to tape, and they think that the VX2000 also probably records black as 7.5 IRE.

So what actually is pure black on the VX2000? 0 or 7.5 IRE?

Never mind, I figured it out with a fellow Matrox user over at the Matrox forum in this thread (scroll down almost to the bottom). It is 0 IRE.

DV is ALWAYS 0 IRE as that is the specification. The 150 IRE setup switch only adjusts the analog output.
