So i was lookin around and came across one of these for 1700 and was wondering if that was a decent deal? im looking for a back up for my vx2100 for weddings and this fits the pricerange well. anyone have any info about this camera? i searched but didnt find much

Good camera with poor (compared to the 170) low-light performance. As long as you have good light (think VX-1000) it will give you a good picture.
$1700 can be an OK price if it includes the batteries and the charger. Unlike the 250, it requires 3X of the standard Lion batteries and a 3-port charger. I cannot recall if it could be outfitted for 'regular' pro batteries or not. Probably so.

yeah after looking at it a bit more im kind of weary about it. i love the xlr's though. my budget is at 2k or less and i just saw that that fit in there .
