Sony Tele Lens 58 Mm Vclhg1758 at DVinfo.net

OK, Is it a Sony-ism to only recommend this Adaptor to the vx2000?.. As afar as I know, they're both 58mm..

Is there any reason why VCLHG1758 would not be appropriate for pd170?

No reason at all. The lens on the VX2000/2100/PD150/170/250 is one and the same. The 1758 will fit them all, but it'll vignette the image as you zoom towards wide-angle. This is perfectly normal and is a designed in feature.
