case for VX2100

I am presently using an old case from my AG-450 panasonic full size VHS camcorder to transport my VX2100. It is a hard case and often a pain in the neck to carry. Any recommendations for a soft or semi hard case (maybe with shoulder strap) that holds this camera ?

Welcome to the forum, Ezra.

There are so many times this question has been asked and answered that I'm going to ask you to conduct a search on the topic. Every conceivable type of camera case has been exhaustively discussed in this forum.

If you then have questions, please feel free to post them as specifically as possible.

I carry my VX2100 in a nice-looking leather briefcase I found at a 2nd-hand store for $10. It has a wide main compartment and several smaller pockets, all with zippers. I have enough room to carry the camcorder with a telex attached and put accessories in the pockets. It has a shoulder strap and is sturdy enough to give some protection. I also slip the camcorder into a water-resistant nylon bag. Usually, when I go out, I put the briefcase in a heavy-duty, medium-sized backpack for ease in carrying and for more protection. This also provides room for more accessories, including a disassembled shoulder-mount. I doubt if anyone suspects there's a valuable camcorder inside.
