vx 2100 zoom problem
Hey everybody,
I've got a problem with my vx 2100... as soon as the camera is switched on it zooms automatically to maximum focal length. I can only zoom out with the zoom on the handle, but once i release that button, it automatically zooms back to max focal length. You guys think this is something fixable by myself? Thanks in advance, Richard |

It sounds to me as though your regular zoom rocker is stuck in the zoom-in position. This might be an electronic problem, with a component that has gone bad, or a mechanical fault. Check the zoom rocker and see if it moves back and forth properly. If it is stuck, you might be able to loosen it up by repeated pushes. Possibly, the spring in the rocker has been sprung and needs replacing. Whether or not you could fix it, depends on your skill and willingness to probe unknown territory------and whether your warranty has expired.
