But that $10 gets you acquisition and archiving. You still need a long term storage solution for the EX.

Gareth, If you use PPRO 2.0 with the main concept MPEG PRO HD plug-in you should be able to edit EX1 files in native 1920x1080 Mpeg2. You may have to wait for an update to the plug-in for full resolution, but this Plug-in is what we were using at IBC with CS3 and it also works with PPRO 2.
