no problem in this case as there is no different versions for US and Europe as I know. Every PMW can handle all framerates and it is HD only. In opposite to the HVX, where you canīt get 25p with the US and 24p with the EU - version. (shame on you Panasonic for this!)
O.k. itīs possible via workaround, but not official.
For doing PAL SD, I simply use 25p or 50i @720, then convert down. For NTSC 30p or 60i @720.
Or 24p, then speed up to 25p for PAL and pulldown to 60i for NTSC.

The thing is due to the dollar drop the import is about 800 EUR cheaper than buying from a official EU dealer.

I'd be very reluctant to import it given the possibility of a vignetting issue being discussed in another thread. Your warranty may have to come in handy unfortunately.

can you point me at the vignetting thread please John?

Just here.

Hopefully it's just an isolated case but no one really knows yet. Not enough people have received their cameras to test them yet.

Chris,
Barlow mentioned that you had your detail setting "OFF" for the SDI tests. Was this also true for your DOF tests posted here?

I believe so, I hate sharpening in camera. I prefer to do it all in post. But I really couldn't say for sure.

Sorry, I am not very scientific.

I can't disagree with that concept.
