Confused about the macro switch
Can anybody enlighten me here? Is all that the macro switch is doing to limit the focus range in the macro end when turned off? Can I leave it on all the time if I don't mind turning the focus ring a little extra sometimes or does Macro on affect the image quality at the tele end in any way?

Really, no one knows? How are you guys using this switch then? Always on? Has anyone seen any disadvantages leaving it on besides slower focusing? |

I have found with macro on and the focus ring pulled forward so it's no longer manual I lose the ability to get infinity focus.

Hm...I have not noticed this but I will check again. Does the depth of field indicator tell you this or have you noticed by judiging this with your own eyes?
