Dolgin Quad battery charger for EX batteries

I've seen that the new quad battery charger from Dolgin is finally available:

Has anyone bought it? Any comments on its efficiency?

Got it, Very happy with its performance. I have a small write-up on my blog with pictures. Check it out @

Malta, such a nice place, went over to Gozo as well last year. What sort of work do you do on the island?

Steve thanks for the info and the link to your blog. I will definetely be buying one after reading your write up. Am I right in saying that its power supply is external, like that of a laptop or did you put a power supply near to the charger to indicate its size?

I do mainly event videos, weddings and medical videography. I had used briefly the EX1 but returned it back due to its awful ergonomics and other small well known issues (I'm used to the shoulder mounted DSR cameras). Am waiting eagerly for the EX3 and I'm presently drawing up a list of all the accessories that I need to buy for the EX3. Have not yet found out a suitable work around as to how to power up my 20watt PAG light without having the battery attached to my belt.

Yes Malta is quite nice (though very hot at the moment!) as long as you are not dashing around try to do a million jobs at one time! Gozo is even better as there is that general feeling that time has stopped. It's the ideal place to go to, switch off the mobile, leave the PDA behind you and have a cold beer or a bottle of chilled wine with a srumptous mediterranean dish in one of the numerous picturesque restaurants followed by a dive into the pool......!

Out of curiosity, are there any 3rd party batteries for the EX1 on the market yet?
