EX3 and SLR adapters (not DOF adapters)

I have been searching for some kind of adapter so I can use my SLR glass with the EX3. Note, I'm not looking for the DOF adapters like Letus. I want the tele effect I should get by just putting a SLR lens right on to the EX3. I have seen post that these kind of adapters were shown at NAB, but have not managed to find any information about them.

Anybody has any information to share about this?

First you'll have to tell us what mount your SLR lenses are? I doubt there will be anything for the native proprietary EX3 mount soon, but it will come with an EX3 to Sony 1/2 Bayonet adapter. The will also be an EX3 to Sony B4 available. Maybe one of those combined with another adapter to your SLR mount may do it. The B4 is 2/3, so you'll get extra tele length again.

Here's a 1/2 Sony to Nikon-

Or have a look around here-

Someone will make an EX3 native to most mounts some time, but not tommorow I'd guess.

yes please

I'd order a EX3 tomorrow if someone announced availability of a Canon DSLR adapter (like the Birger that's being developed for Red).

The reason I didn't specify what SLR mount I have is that I'm more interested to see what options is out there and then decide what lenses I need. That said, I have a lot of Canon EF glass. But the aperture thing on EF lenses makes it not the best solution since aperture cannot be controlled (not in an easy way). So I might buy Nikon or Canon FD lenses if needed to get a good solution.

If I use the suggested Nikon to 1/2" and then the included 1/2" to EX mount, would there be any problems with focus to inifinity or something else? I'm a little bit hesitant to stack adapters together, but if they contain no glass I guess it's not a problem.

Do the included 1/2" to EX mount contain glass?

I don't think they have glass in the adapters, but I don't have my EX3 yet so I can't say for certain sorry. You will almost certainly have to adjust the back focus, and as long as you have enough adjustable longitude there it should work fine.

There is a B4 to EX-3 adapter already, so if you can find an SLR to B4 adapter you just need to combine them. Seems to me I've heard of those.
