For what they are worth

Here are some quick snapshots of the homemade raincover for my EX3.
Making 2 separate pieces both with o-ring type rubber washers helped them seal well around the viewfinder arm. A bit floppy but I don't get wet arms while operating and my camera stays dry. The extra material comes in handy for setting the unit on the ground as well. It does take a few minutes to put on but it works. I also have velcro on the camera lens cover and back of camera to tighten things up in. Mostly I made sure any rain would drip away from the camera and not pool up and find a way in. |
Brilliant! Do you give sewing lessons?

Re: Homemade works great too
Paul, email pics to jeff@gonethinkinoutdoors.com please...
I use a black waterproof backpack cover with a drawstring that folds up into a little pouch; I purchased it at Amazon, they have four differemt sizes and i even bought on to fit over my video case. I'll try to find the link if any one is interested. Found the link - Quote:

Re: EX3 Rain Cover
I found a Kata cover for the EX1 on Amazon for half the list price. I really like it. If you can find one that cheap the diy approach might not be the best way to go.
