sony ex1 componant uncompressed capture.
i own a blackmagic intensity card would like to capture uncompressed componant signal
from a sony ex1. i would like to know if there is any compression in the componant signal from that camera? Manny thanks. ps this is my first post lol |

The component and HDSDi outputs from the camera are uncompressed. Obviously any clip playback is still compressed.

Recently took the SDI output from the EX1, through the Intensity Card, directly into an Apple G5 to do live GreenScreen in our studio. It was a stunningly clean key because of the 4-2-2 color space... and we could do it live, in real time allowing us to customize the lighting to match a background plate and match action to items that were only on that background frame... Cool.
