Zoom controller for EX1r??

Hello,
i am looking to find a zoom controller for ex1r.
There is no Lanc in ex1r, right?
The cable in this zoom controller is thin? I am asking because i need to work with a steadicam, so i dont want something heavy, to destroy my balance.
What is your suggestions?

Thanks

You might try to contact this guy in the USA,

JonyJib Camera Solutions

talk to Johnny... they make cables and parts for jib arms and he built me a special cable for my Fuji zoom controller , so I could use it on my EX3, and saved me about $300.00 in the long run.

HTH.....

Two places to check:

http://bartechengineering.com/

The G-Zoom!, For Steadicam!

With the Bartech one, you will have to get the "thin" cable mod in addition which will add another $100 to the price tag.

There is a recent thread or two on the steadicamforum about the g-zoom. They aren't inexpensive but little for Steadicam is!

I se the VZ PG-EX Varizoom Controller. It is great and very comfortable. You can get extension cables for it. I use a 20' for my jib.

I have used it with my SteadiCam, I have an SK, it works OK hold the VZ i your left hand and fly with your right. I rarely zoom while on a Steadicam though.

Are there many people using Fuji controllers with an adapter cable on the EX cams? I know the lens is somewhat limited in its ability to do slow zooms, so would a Fuji control be any better than the Manfrotto, Vari-Zoom, etc?
