shot transition won't memorize focus?

Hi there,

With Shot Transition in 'Store' mode, I set focus on a close-up of some oranges in a bowl, press the 'A' button, and then zoom out a bit to some candlesticks, refocus and press the 'B' button. Then switch to 'Check' mode, press the A button, and the camera zooms back in on the oranges, but doesn't go back to the proper focus.
Only the shot B focus is memorized.

Am I missing something?
Thanks, Malcolm

I don't think you need auto switched on, but you do need the focus ring slid forward.

Correct. Focus ring must be disengaged from full manual.

Yes, thank you both — focus ring slid forward is the right way to put it, and shot transition now works.
Funny thing is that for me, though, it only works if I'm in "time" mode.
"speed" mode doesn't work. Is there something else that has to be done?
regards, Malcolm

Speed/time: I don't think so. I just swap between them as necessary. I work in full manual (other than the focus ring thing).
