EX1 Component Cable?

Anyone know where I can get a replacement component cable?

From searching I found this cable VMC-30VC but I can't find a place that sells the cable.

Out of stock.

This shouldn't be that hard, Sony uses this cable for a dozen different cameras. Is it made out of Unicorn tears or something?

That cable is no longer in production from Sony.

Re: EX1 Component Cable?

You need to search for VMC15VC. That is a current Sony part.

Looks like I was wrong. They are both discontinued.

Re: EX1 Component Cable?

Thanks Chris! You get some extra bonus points for your weekend.

I'm glad for these forums & still a little surprised that it isn't easier to find a cable that is used by so many Sony cameras. I could kind of get it if this cable was only for the now retired EX1, but it is still the same cable used for the EX1R, plus I know it is used on the Z7 (probably Z5, V1 & others?) AND over a dozen consumer cameras as listed in that ebay page.

Re: EX1 Component Cable?

Hi there,

this discussion lead me to this question: Can component out and HD-SDI be used simultaneously?

Thank you,
Ulf

See page 149 of the manual. It's available online if you have not the printed one.
