best quality for slow shutter

I'm shooting a non-moving shot of an altar inside a church - not much light.

I set the camera to slow shutter (16 frames), 1 frame every 2 seconds, small aperture, normal gain.

But the video doesn't look crisp - it looks a bit soft and noisy.

Any ideas? Am I doing something wrong?
