Metabones for EX-3??

We've been shooting a lot of the DSLRs for the past two years (both corporate, commercials and documentary) and I've grown tired of their well-known limitations.

I need to wait till close to the end of this year to buy a new camera and, until then, I'd like to return to shooting the EX-3 as our main camera ... but I'd like to be able to make use of the our stable of really great EF mount lenses.

From what I'm reading, the M3 and Letus adaptors are cumbersome and problematic (loss of multiple stops, vibration, focus issues, etc.) and not a great investment, considering I'll likely be upgrading camera in the fall.

The Metabones Speed Booster seems like it might be a good solution ... if it can be made to work on the EX-3.

Does anyone have any experience or guidance here?

I'm grateful for your input.

Brett

Re: Metabones for EX-3??

You can PHYSICALLY adapt the lenses (and therefore the Metabones) to FIT the EX3 mount but then you'd be faced with the incredibly large crop factor with no iris control.

Yes. That is precisely the problem I'm trying to find a viable work around for.

The cost to accommodate the electronics AND the sensor size differential would be prohibitive I think, given the cost of R&D versus the install base who would buy it... never mind that 2 weeks after someone got it right, it would be mass produced out of Shenzhen China for a fraction of the price.
