PMW-300 Error E-20015

Hi everyone, i having a problem with a PMW-300, i am getting the E20015 in the viewfinder, all menus still work, but no image, only a fine black and white stripe in all the screen. Anyone knows this error or have some idea were i can get more info ? no luck in the google yet. thanks in advance.

Don't know what the error means. As you can get access to the menus I wonder if it is worth trying to do a full camera reset? (Usual legal disclaimer follows....). Alternatively, try and talk to someone at Sony Professional Support in Brazil (if they have a servicing outlet there).

P.S. I worked in Brazil for several years - what a great place!

thanks for the response, and i aready tried the full reset. The professional support just asked amost the same price of a new, without saying the problem. If you know Brazil, you have to have some douts of the "professionals" most of the time.

I put it to the Sony professional services in Australia and this is the response I received back.

Error message indicates to a failure in the image processor and/or media block.

Unfortunately the unit will need to be sent to a service centre for evaluation and repair.

A little more info than what your local guys gave. Hope this helps.
