BP-U30 Batteries Will Work
Good news.. The F3 will run off a BP-U30. I tried one today and got about 50 minutes of operation with one. The battery got warm, but no more so than my BP-U60's.

Yes. Used some 30s with a demo unit last week. No issues. They just don't last as long....
