Birger Engineering EF mount still on the horizon?
Hello all,
I have searched the web for many hours but do not see any concrete information on whether or not the Birger Engineering EF mount for the F3 is still a reality. Their website says that it is going to be shipping in June, but that seems like an outdated claim. I also found an interview from back in September where Erik Widding mentions that the project was set back, but I am wondering if anyone has heard anything new about this. Is it still a mystery? All help greatly appreciated. Many thanks, ~Omar |

Why not consider MTF or Optitek at this point?

Hello,
I like the Birger idea because there are no boxes or cables hanging off of it, nor does it require external power like the MTF does. Is there an Optitek EF adapter for the F3? I looked for one but did not see anything. |

Here's a link to Jacek demonstrating his Optitek solution.

I couldn't find it on his website, but also watched the same video last night he posted up in a few forums.

Re: Birger Engineering EF mount still on the horizon?
The Birger F3 mount development was put on hold when other more important (profitable?) projects came in to Birger. They are only a small operation and the F3 mount was a bit of a sideline project. Don't know if it will get resurrected.
