Body Video Camera Mount
I built a body camera mount that I modeled after doggie cam's body mount. It worked out pretty nicely we still have to add some padding and figure out the grip equipment but overall I am happy with it. Let me know what you guys think and if any one has questions I would be more than happy to answer them.
The vest is 2 inch webbing and the side aluminum bars are from 80/20. I drilled holes for the grip heads and riveted the webbing to the bars. The rest of the grip equipment is just poles and grip heads. Body Cam Test on Vimeo There is some test footage after the stills in the video. |

wow, that is really really cool. I think your mount makes the footage look better than what they use for fear factor. How well does it do if you are running?

Thanks. We haven't done any running with it just walking I don't think it would do that great though just because of the weight out front. We are working on making some sort of counter weight for the opposite side of the camera so that it doesn't pull your body forward.
Here is a link to a video that we used it on. We only shot the video and didn't do any of the editing but it gives a feel for how it looks if real life. Overwhelmed Final Edit on Vimeo |
