Try it this way. Actually I'm wrong, I need to pull the lever out on the tripod, but not on the Pilot.

It seems to me I'm having a newer version of this Bogen adapter. I can only slice the camera plate onto the adapter in 1 direction. There's an arrow indicating which side I have to use.

Can you use both ways?

Yes, I can slide it in from both sides. Is yours a 3273?
