glidecam2000 pro and GL2/XM2

Can anyone shed their experiences with balancing this? weight and what battery?

thanks in advance

my largest problem right now is drop time. Mine is about a second max.....

Joe,
It takes patience and practice to get the balance correct. You really do need to shoot for that 2 sec drop time to be in the ballpark for stable balance. Tiny adjustments make big differences in the rig's balance relationships.

Try altering the length of the shaft, say, 1/4".

It just takes experimentation and practice.

thanks ken , i got the 2 second drop time now. The camera doesnt lean to the left , but it actually twists or pans to the left.

joe - just a quick note...in my own experience, a 1.5 second drop time seems to work best in the GL2 / 2000 pro configuration.

Casey ,

thanks for that. I'm starting to get the glidecam sorted. What an absolutely awesome piece or hardware!
