Ever happen to you?
I was walking down the street in Edinburgh recently with the Arm from my glidecam V8 and i noticed people were looking at me funny and giving me a wide birth.Then some half drunk guy ran up to me and shouted 'what the f##k is that mate' .
It turns out everyone thought i was carrying a gun, and this crazy guy said he was about to 'do me in'. Just one of those sureal moments you never expect. In a place like America where cops carry guns you could find yourself in a bit of a pickle. Andy.

Most steadicam operators get lots of "What the heck is that?" looks when in public. I could have sold adds with all the attention I have received when operating.
No one has thought it was a gun though. That could be a bit unnerving. Terry Indicam |
