Changing tape w/o rebalancing (Glidecam2000 newbie)

Hi All..

This is my first post. So, after researching the internet and reading in this forum, I finally got my Glidecam 2000. My camera is Sony HC1.

it's been my 3rd day playing with my glidecam. So far it's a pleasure, plus my right hand muscle become stronger..:). Balancing the system from about 2 hours (the first time), to about 3-4minutes now...

Now the question is, my HC1 uses bottom loads tape eject. How do I change tapes without re-balancing?

Thanks...
Hans.

Hi Hans,

Try using some sort of quick-release assembly that you fix to the Glidecam. This will allow you to remove the camera quickly and easily, do what you need to do, and place it back onto the Glidecam in exactly the same place.

Something like this perhaps:

Good luck!
