camera choice suggestions
I'm buying a digital camera as a gift for good friends of mine that I haven't seen in years. They aren't photographer per se, just like to take family/fun pictures for the scrapbook/photoalbum.
I'd like to get them something with 3 megapixels and an optical zoom. Preferably something hightech/digital/flashy looking. #1 criteria -> CHEAP. I want to spend $200us maximum. Hey, I haven't seen them in years, I ain't springing for a 10D. However, I want it to be a name brand. No Magansonics, Panavox, or Sonee, if you know what I mean. It still has to be a good camera. ANy suggestions? Thanks

The Canon PowerShot A70 has everything you want (and more) and has really come down in price. Call our sponsor Zotz and see how much they're selling for. Product site at www.powershot.com.

Chris, funny you mention that, I was thinking of getting them an A60, despite it only being 2 megapixels. The A70 is definitely out of my range, the A60 is pushing it. I should really cap my spending at $250(us).
