Anyone on Elance?
I've been on Elance a while now and its not such a bad deal. I take on small editing projects targeted for web streaming mostly, its fun!
Was wondering if anyone else is on Elance? What are your thoughts on it? Would be good to get to know others who are already signed up or people who're just interested to join.

Not on eLance, but I'll have to check it out. I am on ProductionHUB, though.

I've hired lots of people from elance, been very happy with it. Never thought of using it to get work. How many jobs do you bid on vs. what you get?

I'm not making millions on Elance, not yet at least! But since the jobs are fairly simple and hardly take any time its well worth it. Also, it works out well for me since I have young students who are more than happy to learn and build their experience doing these projects. So for a hour-long job of transcoding a DVD into 10-minute clips ready for YouTube I can get a clean $200. Usually the people who need this sort of work done are totally unfamiliar with the process and would rather pay to get it done. Elance works out for them because they can choose from many bidders all over the world.
