Marketing Plan??
Have you ever made a proper marketing plan for your business? Would you mind sharing it, or part of it?
Sometimes we are not asking ourselves the right questions and ALL of the right questions in order to improve in the business. Thanks! |

Why don't you post yours and let people critique it?

John, great idea! It should be a requirement to share before asking others to dish out stuff like marketing plans, business plans and such. I'm working on some new stuff I plan to share with others on here...not done yet, but soon! I've got some television pilot information I plan to share.

John, Chris: I totally agree, but the problem is, I don't have one yet. I'm in the process of making it and all the examples I find are about people selling products or services like "hairdresser".
My angle is selling services for Audiovisual productions in Spain and Morocco. I'm trying to figure out where (geographically) to aim my marketing efforts at, what the key factors are for clients choosing a certain area to shoot in (apart from the obvious location requirements) etc.. As soon as I have anything tangible, I will post it, promise! But meanwhile, anybody...? Or possibly a good book on the subject? |

There are a zillion books on marketing. To make a marketing plan, get some paper and pen. Start writing.
1. What is your product or service? 2. Who would be interested in it? 3. How do you tell #2 about #1? 4. Who is your competition? 5. How are you different from competition? 6. How do you communicate #5 to #2 ? ANy book you find will be fine, just replace "hairdresser" with "AudioVisual Productions". As soon as you start writing,. you will not need any more help. If you do not want to start writing, no amount of help will matter. In case of question "what the key factors are for clients choosing a certain area to shoot in", call and ask them !!! THIS IS NOT ROCKET SCIENCE. |
