I named my production company after the street on which I made my first (ridiculous and comedic and in no way "professional") movie. I could just as easily have named it after that first movie ("China Night Pictures"... hmmm...) .

The point being: the name doesn't have to have anything to do with the content of your work at all. You could name it after your sister or your girlfriend or your favorite Greek food. Whatever. Be creative.

(Everyone in town seems to think I live on Oak Street because of the name, but that's fine with me because I'm a confirmed hermit and don't want anyone to know where I live anyway :) )

Small world...

I was thinking of naming my company Oak Street Films, then I saw yours.

I actually have lived on Oak Street for 8 years...Instead I went with the street name (Cutlass Lookout) of a cottage we have on a small island (which I mortgaged to buy my new gear)

The Islands streets are all pirate themed, so I'm playing off of that.

Thanks guys! But I am not sure what I want it to be named yet, I think today I will try as much as I can to think of one...

Your right, It does not need to have anything to do with what I make. But I do want a name that I wont change in just one year. That is why I am putting so much work into trying to make one. I came up with one a long time ago, but it is so hard for anyone to remember. But I don't know, you guys tell me what you think, it was "Extranjero Productions". Its spanish for "Alain".

A friend of mine made a easy logo for me. I'll make it an attachment.

Thanks everyone!
