Using Microsoft MapPoint in a project

Anyone done this? USGS maps are somewhat "busy".

Using it how and for what? Capturing an image to include in the video or figuring out the shortest driving route the shoot's location or printing directions for the cast and crew on where to go or picking tentative locations to scout or what? "Using it" covers a lot of territory.

I meant in the context of a movie - using one of the maps on screen to show a location
