I know this thread's been dead for a while, but I'm interested to know if you actually got funding from HRDC, and how the business is going now. I'm broke as a joke and I couldn't find funding in Cape Breton...

I'm from Ottawa originally, Waterloo (WLU) for university. Now my gf (soon to be upgraded to fiance) will be moving to Vancouver. Any advice for finding good deals on places to live would be a huge help. We are going out there in Sept of this year.

To introduce myself:
I live in Toronto and attend Ryerson for Radio and Television Arts (second year).

Nowadays, my main interests lie in color correction/enhancement although I'm interested in everything else, including editing, audio post, and lighting.

If anyone in Toronto would like to get organized to do short films I'd definitely be interested in that.

I'm in Ottawa at U of Ottawa studying communications and theatre. I spend my summer in Mississauga/Toronto. I'd love to get together with some people to make short films, Glenn I might drop you an email sometime soon.

I'm in Dartmouth, right next to Halifax. I'm shooting a short in the next month.

I'm from Sydney, N.S. which is about a 4 hour drive from Halifax. I'm currently studying Film Studies at Carleton University in Ottawa, which sadly has less video production aspects than I would like. I love working with Video and Film and have been doing so since I was about 12 when I first got a hold of my parents video camera and started filming stop-motion animation lego films.

Justin, give me a shout some time if you're in Sydney this summer. There are a few of us Cape Bretoners making some short movies. Do you have any equipment or anything? What's your specialty (DOP, editting, producing, etc)

Hello from Nunavut, lived all over this country at one time or another. Noticed some guys here from Cape Breton was born there but left a life time ago.

Main video interest is wild life and the great outdoors in general. Main camera is the XL2 but have a variety of others including some head cams and wireless video transmitters for stationary cameras while shooting unpredictable creatures.
