Hello from Southern PA
Well this is my first post... I've spent the last two days just reading through the forums (there's so much info here). I live in Waynesboro, PA which is basically on the border of PA and MD... and very close to WV. I had gone to the Art institute of Pittsburgh in the early 90's for A/V Production and thought video and film would be my path. I joined the Army to pay off school loans and was a videographer and photographer for them for six years. Now I work for the military as a contractor doing everything from graphics to organizing training classes to spending hours at a computer typing for a medical unit. They want me to expand into DV and so I need to learn... a lot. Luckily my background has made things easier. But there is so much to learn in the land of DV. This site has a lot of great info on all aspects. Thanks for your time..

Welcome aboard Charlie! You seem to have an interesting back-
ground and approach to DV due to that history. DV is quite simple to work with once you get the hang of it and you can then move with lightning speed if you have to. Have fun!
