G'day!
How's it going?!
I am Salvis Are. I am 25 now and I am born in Valmiera, Latvia. Currently I live in Uk, Bishop's Stortford - 30 mins from London. I am interested in photo and video since high school. Afer high school I've been studying advertising in Riga/Latvia. In Uni I made a couple of shorts and couple of adverts. Now I bought Canon XH A1s camcorder and Manfrotto 745XB tripod with 501HDV head. What I am gonna do in next months is to explore the camera properly, make a couple of nice shorts and videos and form my own company. Just interested if you have any suggestions of capturing the videos from HXA1s. Right now I am using HDVsplit, but then the m2t file is unrecognisable.. Any other way??? Thank's and I'll see you around! Salvis Are. Last edited by Salvis Are; December 1st, 2009 at 01:00 PM. Reason: Location |

Hello Salvis,
and welcome aboard. Re: your capturing question, I'd strongly suggest you explore the various Cineform options (and the related HDLink program): Cineform files will make your editing faster & less taxing on your computer, and will help you preserve quality during post-production. (see: Cineform and the Cineform forum here on DVinfo) Best Vasco |
