Browser Question at DVinfo.net

Hi all,

(says he, head hung in shame and embarrasment 'cause he forgot).

What setting have I changed that has caused my browser to open all links in the same window? I want to be able to switch between sites and not use the Back button to find the site where I was. Make any sense.

If you are using IE6 (and maybe also earlier versions);

Go to Tools > Internet Options
Click the "Advanced" tab
Under the "Browsing" untick "Reuse windows for launching shortcuts"

It needs to be unchecked.
If this is what you meant let me know and I will see if I can think of anything else.

I need to hone up on my reading skills. Have unchecked it but still does not open in a new window.

Andrew.... you are correct, it does not appear to work.

When I want to open a link in a new window, I either right click and choose "Open Link in new window" or hold shift and click on the link which has the same effect.

Hi,

I use a Mac so i don't know if this will help. Go to preferences, go to interface extras, select option Open a new browser window.
