Silliest accessory?

My nomination: (sorta cool though)
Canon 24-105mm styled insulated cup / mug with lens hood cap - Ideal gift for Photographers

I won't be buying one at that price (but any family reading this are free to get one for my birthday)

Re: Silliest accessory?

You just know you would turn up on set one day exhausted from lack of sleep and try to fit it to your camera and end up spilling coffee all over your gear!

Still want one though :)

Re: Silliest accessory?

I saw a man in Wascana park over the weekend shooting in a light drizzle. His camera ( a Canon DSLR) had some sort of little umbrella attached to the hotshoe. Looked spectacularly rediculous; blue and white stripes, any maybe 10 inches in diameter

I'm pretty sure he wet himself.

I made something like that from a broken pocket umbrella  A smidge bigger, and black, and still looks ludicrous, but is pretty handy when leaving a camera unattended in iffy weather conditions. Just make sure to use in conjunction with sandbags when its windy :D

Hey Chris,

That matte box is anything but silly. It's a damn good idea.
