Sachtler serial number

Hi,

Does anyone know where to find the serial number on a Sachtler tripod? Specifically the DV6-SB, but they're probably all the same.

I've been all over the tripod and can't find anything that looks remotely like a serial number. I need this for insurance purposes.

It's probably bleedin' obvious, but I'm stuck.

Thanks in advance!

Both my Sachtlers (not DV6) have the number located under or around the area where the shoe (which attaches to the plate) connects with the tripod head. The serial number may be proceeded by the model number.

Hi Rick (and anyone else who can help!),

I've attached a couple of photos. The first one shows a number under the plate - I thought it was a part number! Could this be it? I have blurred the end of the number just in case.

On the top (see second photo), there is no number- this is where my Vinten had a serial number, I think.

That's it. First 4 are your model - last numbers are your serial number.

Thanks Rick - I just didn't think four digits were enough.

The Sachtler.com website accepted it too, so it must be right. Thanks again!
