Manfrotto 547 B or the 351MVB?

I have a small HDV Sony A1U and a 701HDV head on a old Slik SLR tripod and i am looking to get a better support system.
I am looking at the Manfrotto 547 B or the 351MVB, but not sure which to get.

This is just a hobby for me, but I do like a stable platform.

Thoughts?

Hi, Chris.................

You haven't mentioned a price, but if you can hold off a bit and want the bees knees, just mosey on down to the end of this thread to get a taster, it might appeal.

Fly date is September 1.

And it's good, very, very good.

Possibly, maybe, could be, might not be but definately would like to be about $1100, all up.

Did I make that confusing enough to keep my handlers from giving me a rap over the knuckles? Probably, possibly, could be, maybe but then again, maybe not, but hey, they're in the States, I'm not, what can they posibly d...................aaaaarrrrrghghghgh!.

Thanks Chris.

My budget for sticks is $250 and I already have the 701HDV head.

As a photographer, I understand features needed for still photography, but I don't know about video?

Here're photos of the two in question.

I recently purchased the 351MVB2k and I love it. Just used it last weekend for a production and it was immensely better than the other tripods there.(not sure what they were. not manfrotto or vinten) The DP kept grabbing it before his own tripod. He had some sort of really expensive tripod made of aluminum with all sorts of doo hickeys to adjust it, but my sticks with the 503 head was just too quick and easy.
