Uh Oh...sand in my 503

Well my 503 took a fall over into the sand yesterday.......I've blown most of the sand out, but there appears to be some between the cowling and the base where the cowling roates around. I get some grinding during movement.

I am wondering if this will just grind itself out or if it is possible for the sand to penetrate inside the head. I have not yet tested the head at full tele to see if you can "see" the grinding when panning.

I have an almost new 505 sitting on my desk that I could rig up to my tripod with a bowl adapter.....but that is a different problem.
