Wrong tripod for this head?

Hi,

I have the Manfrotto 502 flat base. And I have the neewer n55cl tripod. The issue I'm having seems that on the hardest pan settings, the head loosens itself. How can I fix that and if I can't what do I need to look out for in tripod? The flange doesn't have a grub screw. But I fixed that issue, by tightening the flange real tight to the bottom of the head.. but now the screw that goes into the center color gets unwound. So I loctite that. And I'm waiting for it to cure. But now I bet the locking mechanism that locks the column will become loose

I think your assessment is correct. I have the 502 as well, but have it mounted on a much larger tripod. No problems.
