Anyone know tripod mount screw dimensions?

I'm looking at building a little wireless receiver holder to be bottom-mounted to my Sony Z1. Does anyone know the exact distance apart the threaded and non-threaded bolts on a standard tripod mount are? If not, I'll just estimate. It would be nice to know the official distance, though.

Thanks!

-Mark

A quick check with a pair of calipers shows me they are approximately 0.545" (13,8 mm) center - to - center.

Thanks a lot, Doug! I would've measured myself but I haven't been able to find a ruler anywhere in my house, haha.

If anyone's curious, this is what I ended up making:

It's a mount for the Audio-Technica U100 series R100 receiver for the bottom of my Sony Z1. It's not pretty but it works surprisingly well.

Is the distance between centres not 9/16" - a true imperial measure to go with 1/4" Whitworth?
